Holocaust Memorial
Peter Eisenman's field of stelae between Brandenburg Gate and Potsdamer Platz — one of Europe's most important memorials.
The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe consists of 2,711 stelae you walk through — a deliberately quiet, powerful place. The underground Information Centre documents the victims and their stories; admission is free.
The memorial lies just south of the Brandenburg Gate, within walking distance of the Tiergarten and Potsdamer Platz. Respectful conduct goes without saying — it is a place of remembrance, not a photo backdrop.
